A first for everything

I am so blessed by irrationallove's blog and so thankful that she took the time to set me up with my own place to share my thoughts. The TRUTH of the matter is, I tried to respond to what had been written in her blog but I could not get it to post. I took that as a clue from Up Above that it was time to start my own. There is a first for everything and this is my first attempt at blogging. What I was trying to comment on was her last post and several comments about gardening and motherhood. These were my thoughts: Gardening and motherhood have so much in common!!! The seed comes from God's great storehouse and is planted by us. He cultivates this seed until out blooms a precious, beautiful flower, each one so different and beautiful in it's own way. We feed, water, fertilize, and protect this flower to ensure it's health and beauty. The main ingredients that this flower needs are healthy soil and the SON so that it's roots can grow down deep into His marvelous love. Then the flower can spread it's love and beauty to many other people. The Gardener tends to the flower and admires it as His own creation. As it's outward beauty fades, the soil is ready for the start of another beautiful, precious flower. Lord, I pray that you will help me tend to my precious garden with your wisdom, strength, and tender loving care so that it will flourish and grow as you see fit. Amen
